The Best Nature Spots in Twin Lakes, WI

Visiting the Twin Lakes area and hoping to spend the day or weekend in nature? Here are the 6 places you must visit while you are in Twin Lakes.

1. Hike at Elizabeth Lake Nature Preserve

Start your morning at the Elizabeth Lake Nature Preserve. We love this park during sunsets and sunrises. There are a variety of ecosystems that you will walk through. Enjoy the trees and prairie grasses while also admiring the lake off in the distance.

2. Coffee at Cup of Joe Coffeehouse

Next stop: Cup of Joe for a delicious cup of coffee and breakfast. We highly suggest the Cheesy Joe bagel sandwhich. We have tried lots of coffee and tea options, and we are never disappointed.

3. Bike the Ice House Trail

This trail is a little over 2 miles and is a straight trail, meaning you probably will go there and back. It is an awesome trail for a quick bike ride. I love that there is a mixture of shade and sun along the trail. If you don’t have your bike, this is a good spot of walking as well.

4. Pick up Flowers at Nickels Country Acres

We love this little farm stand in the Twin Lakes area. Every time we stop, there are different vegetables and flowers to purchase. We love that they decorate and sell based on the season.

5. Pick up a picnic lunch at River Valley Ranch

This might be our favorite grocery store ever. Make sure you stop here for your picnic lunch! We highly suggest the spinach artichoke dip with cream cheese, the sourdough break, the fresh made popcorn, and cheese curds, and the pesto sauce! You can also find fresh produce, mushroom everything, and beef jerky.
