1. Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy

Rose: 3 parking lots with 3 access points to the trails
Thorn: Since it is a conservancy area, some of the trails might be under construction when you visit
2. Seno K/RLT Conservancy

Address: 3606 Dyer Lake Road, Burlington, WI 53105
Rose: Never crowded so it is a perfect spot for a hike with your dog
Thorn: No garbage cans on the trail for poop bags
3. White River County Park

Address: 6503 Sheridan Springs Rd, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
Rose: Variety of ecosystems. You will hike through sunny spots, shaded forests, and along the river.
Thorn: A few hills that may be difficult for some hikers
4. Four Seasons Nature Preserve

Rose: Multiple shelters to have a picnic lunch
Thorn: The dog area is wonderful, but it is not fenced in. Not ideal for puppies or runners.
5. Big Foot Beach State Park

Rose: Beautiful hike in all seasons, but especially in the winter
Thorn: Pay to park in the state park
6. Lake Elizabeth Nature Preserve

Rose: Beautiful lookout with benches to relax, enjoy the scenery, or read a book
Thorn: The park is full of bees doing their thing and pollinating, which is very important to us. However, if you have young children or dogs, be vigilant of the bees along the trail.
How beautiful! Geneva has been on my bucket list for a while, but I never thought about hiking there. Now I’ll definitely have to head to some of these ๐
