We love a good antique store and unique finds. Where do you go in Chicago for your antiques? Here are a few of our favorites.
1. Andy’s Art Antiques & Oddities
This is a newer antique store in Edgewater and it has quickly moved to the top of our list! The items in this store are so unique. And the best part, the store is organized! We love an organized antique store. Andy has done an awesome job sourcing his items and displaying them throughout the store. Make sure you look up and down! You are sure to find a new furniture piece for your home.
2. Andersonville Antiques
This store looks small from the outside but it is rather large! Make sure you wander down to the basement. This store is great for little trinkets, antique dishes, and vintage toys. We love looking through the shelves and reminiscing about things we had as children or saw in Grandma’s house. It is impossible to leave Andersonville without an item that brings a nostalgic feeling.
3. Brownstone Antiques
New house? Redecorating? Brownstone Antiques is the place to go! They have lots of furniture and lamps. We especially suggest looking here for display cabinets and hutches! You will find everything you are looking for to make your house feel like home.
4. Broadway Antique Market
This is definitely not just a store, this is a mini flea market. When you visit Broadway Antique Market, plan to be there for hours! The store is filled with endless booths of unique vendors. This is a great place to go with friends for an afternoon.
5. Mercantile M
This is a small but mighty antique store. We love visiting Mercantile M and looking at the art work. If you have some empty walls to fill at home, this is your store. The art work is abundant and always changing.
6. Woolly Mammoth
This is the strangest antique store in the city, but it definitely makes our list! We love going in and looking at the vintage taxidermy and antique medical/science items. Woolly Mammoth is one-of-a-kind and must be added to your list. People travel to Chicago just to go to this store, so make sure you add it to your list.
My daughter and I are always on search of antique stores when we travel. So we will definitely look into these when we go see my mother in law.
This is so cool, love antique stores as you never know what you’ll find!
